Accreditation Council meeting in Jordan
The Accreditation Council (the Council) met in Amman, Jordan in May for their mid-year meeting. The meeting saw representatives from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the US and Ireland review the current activity of the International Accreditation Programme (IAP), discuss issues and developments in the area of accreditation and external evaluation and provide advice regarding the current and future direction of the IAP.
It was also the last Accreditation Council meeting for Triona Fortune, Deputy CEO.
The Council thanked Triona for her leadership and management of the IAP over the past nine years and acknowledged her energy, commitment and significant contribution to the success of the IAP, the Council itself and ISQua.
They marked the occasion with a cake and also presented her with a book signed by all members of the Council.
Special thanks go to Salma Jaouni and all the team at the Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC) for their hosting of the meeting.
Attendees went home with a true appreciation of Jordan thanks to the efforts of the team at HCAC as they introduced the Council to authentic Jordanian cuisine and organised trips to some of Jordan’s historical sites.
