I would firstly like to wish each of you a very happy new year and wish you the best for the coming year.
We achieved a lot in 2017 and plan to build on these achievements in 2018.
Our London Conference was a great success with positive feedback received from speakers and delegates. Our call for papers for Kuala Lumpur is still open and we've received an impressive amount of papers to date. We’ll be trying new ideas and workshops for the conference this year – keep an eye on future bulletins for more information.
During the London Conference, we launched our new Specialist Certificates. There are three topics to choose from 1) Person-centred care 2) Approaches & tools for PCC & engaging people in healthcare and 3) Fundamentals of External Evaluation Surveying. Each certificate is a 40-hour online course and is aimed at healthcare professionals with an interest in healthcare quality and patient safety. Enrolments are now being accepted and the certificates will begin in late February.
I am very pleased to announce that our new Honorary Advisor to the Board on Patient-Centred Care is Sara Yaron. Sara is a private lawyer & mediator and an expert in medical malpractice. She offers free of charge legal advice for cancer patients and Pro Bono in medical cases. We are very pleased to welcome Sara to the Board and look forward to her input.
I would like to thank each of you who have already renewed your Membership for 2018 – we've received the highest number of renewal in January in over 4 years. We look forward to bringing you news, activities and benefits over the next 12 months.
And finally, we've begun the redesign of the ISQua website and hope to launch our new and improved website in August 2018 but until then, we've got a sneak preview of what the site will look like –
