CEO Report

This month I learnt of ‘The Internet of Things’. The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical objects or "things" embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and network connectivity, which enables these objects to collect and exchange data.

I learnt of this sooner than I otherwise might have because of my membership of the ISQua Health Information Technology Committee. This committee is chaired by Immediate Past President, David Bates and is charged with the responsibility of keeping ISQua at the head of the game when it comes to the application of HIT to improve healthcare quality and safety.

Of course it’s been a busy year but this is no different to all of you working in quality.  A busy but extremely productive year.

ISQua's 32nd International Conference
The Future of Healthcare is Global
Perspectives from ISQua’s 32nd Annual Quality Conference in Doha, Qatar
byChristopher Cornue, Senior Vice President at Sg2

I’ve often been heard to say that the future of healthcare is global, something I believe passionately and unequivocally. When I make this comment, I’m usually greeted with approving looks, nodding of the head and general agreement … not by quizzical stares. But what do we all really mean when we say this? It’s an intentionally broad statement – one that allows for many open views and perspectives.
